London, England is an incredible international city with lots to offer.

I highly recommend visiting London — whether you have a week or a long weekend!

I recently started traveling to London for work, fitting in tourist time on the weekends, and had to share this legendary walk with you if you’re new to the city.

My favorite thing to do to get to know a new city is to walk, and this is one of the most epic tourist paths that I’ve ever been on!

Ok, so if it’s your first time in London, do this:

The Ultimate London Tourist Walk

AKA The Queen’s Walk… I actually thought I discovered this brilliant tourist path while plotting out my day on a map… until I discovered that it’s the most famous walk in London... #experttraveler #alwayslearning :)

It would take you around 90 minutes to walk straight through, but plan to take a few hours (or an entire day!) so you can stop and experience all the sights along the way.

Strategic Steph

1 Take the Tube (seriously, don’t take a fucking Uber, experience the city for real — I promise the Tube is easy to figure out!) from wherever you’re at to Westminster Station.

  • When you get out of Westminster Station, you’ll be greeted by Big Ben and the Parliament Houses.

2 Begin your legendary London walk across Westminster Bridge — towards the London Eye.

  • #ProTip: Before making a left on the bridge to continue your tour, take a right first to enjoy a less crowded spot along the river and cool views of the bridge and Big Ben.

3 Cross Westminster Bridge and enter the South Bank Walk along the Thames River.

Strategic Steph

4 The walk from the London Eye to Tower Bridge along the Thames takes around 45 minutes straight through — but you’ll want to spend a few hours enjoying all of the museums, shops and sights (like Tate Modern and Borough Market) it has to offer.

5 You will end your journey at the Tower Bridge — MAKE SURE to take a walk across it to fully soak in it’s majestic beauty!

  • Seriously, please walk across it, it’s my favorite. It’s not a long walk and the views of the adventure along the Thames you just took are EPIC.
  • Walking across Tower Bridge will also put you at the Tower of London, another gorgeous historical site to check out while you’re there.
